Vidyarthi Mitra Scheme

One of the unique CSR Scheme of SLRM is “Vidyarthi Mitra” – intended to Promote Education in rural areas, specially to the Girl Child. Under this scheme SLRM is supporting rural students by providing scholarships, educational fees, study materials, printing resource books (provided by Department of Primary & Secondary Education), special classes for 10th grade students etc. SLRM arranging Spoken English & English grammar classes, Mathematics and Science classes to the rural students under this program.

Objectives:

1. To provide quality education to rural area students.
2. To Teach difficult subject of Math’s & English
3. Easy for further higher education.
4. To avoid school drop-outs
5. To curb child marriage

Arogya Mitra Scheme

During this reporting period Programme intended to conduct awareness programme to the masses on various aspects of Health like Tuberculosis, Eye test, Non Communicable diseases, various types of fever, infections, chronic Diseases and others. It also focuses on preventive care against any types of infections, symptoms etc. Besides, screening, treatments and Referred to higher treatment chronic patients in higher centers, and also Free Health Camps are planned to conducting in operational rural areas.

Objectives:

1. To provide easy excess health service in rural areas
2. To bring health & personal hygiene awareness among the rural folk.
3. To Provide Health Service in Rural areas
4. To provide free medicines to economically backward rural folk
5. To conduct free Health Camps, Screening and investigation in rural areas

Raitha Mitra Scheme

Raitha Mitra Scheme is intended to help the small and marginal farmers whose land holding is below the 5 acres. In this local rural area of SLRM, most of the farmers belonged to small & marginal category and backward classes, SC & ST. The support was in the form of providing earth movers to the farmers to take up land leveling, canals, nalas, removing stones, bushes and soil conservation measures in their respective land. This programme is benefited to the farmers who are not able to afford the cost of the earth movers hiring charges.

The land development works was successfully implemented in Lokappanahola, Ayyanahalli, Kenchatanahalli, Vardapura, Narayananadevarakere, Ladakanabavi villages covering hundreds of farmers. The development work carried out will help the farmers to extend their cultivable land portion, soil & water conservation. Benefited farmers says nearly 20% more yield is anticipated this season because of this support by SLRM. It is understood that the company support through its Raita Mitra – CSR activity, to the farmers will definitely fetch more income to the farming families.

Samaja Mithra

SLR Metaliks CSR project has been providing financial assistance to various social service programs in its local rural areas under the company’s reach for the development rural infrastructure, such as drilling bore wells for drinking water, financial assistance for local sports events, road construction, street lighting, afforestation, Several development de-silting of irrigation canals and wells for agriculture, skill development training and distribution of tools etc.
